Born in Italy, Chef Renzo brings his cooking heritage and years of experience
to Hop Kiln where he oversees the winery’s food and wine program. As
our Maestro della Cucina, he cooks with a northern Italian accent, preparing
classic dishes to pair with Hop Kiln and HK Generations wines.
He bases his cooking on fresh ingredients and shops at local
farms and farmers’ markets,
as he did at home in Italy. Chef Renzo plays a major role in all winery
events and personally selects all the artisan foods available in the Hop Kiln
tasting room.
We share Chef Renzo with our sister property, Kenwood Inn and Spa in
Sonoma County’s Valley of the Moon. There he prepares Italian-inspired
food for guests staying at the Inn.
